The Codebreakers Series
Historical fiction that takes place during WWI. I've read several "codebreakers" books by different authors, detailing how the code departments were initially established in England as well as America. The codebreaker units were responsible for some of the most dramatic turning points in war, and as they proved their worth they were given more and more resources. Some of the characters in Roseanna White's books were real people.
