These adorable clay sculpy "sketches" were used as models for the Oodles pvc figures manufactured by LJN. They also served as models for the Magic Diaper Babies by Galoob. They were sculpted by toy inventor Mel Birnkrant, who still has these original clay figures except for one. It's amazing that only one was lost as these tiny sculptures made their way around the toy industry. On the next two pages are more photos of the sketches AND... Mel tells the story of the Oodles!
