The Toy Fair Trio!!

This page shows pictures of Mel's first three Baby Face prototype dolls.
These are the three sculpy dolls that went to Toy Fair and charmed David Galoob.

"Here are the photos I took of Baby Face on her "Birthday", or perhaps, the next day! These were shot BEFORE Anyone, and I do mean ANYONE ever saw her! They, show, among other things, the dubious results of my quest for appropriate "outfits". Some don't "suit" her, while others simply don't Fit her!

But all things considered, they don't look as bad to me now as they did then. I had blowups made of a dozen or so of these photos and mounted them as part of the presentation, to convey the Fashion and Dress-up aspect of the concept as we originally visualized it!" --Mel
